beSuperior is a name that was chosen to acknowledge the beautiful place we live, near Lake Superior. Growing near the Lake was a place of inspiration, movement and survival. The Lake is a place that brought a sense of connection and community. With that in mind, beSuperior was launched to offer second level educational services in the area of Indigenous Knowledge design and content. Being an Indigenous woman and researcher, I realised that I could offer services because of my skill set and knowledge base, so beSuperior came to life. I wanted to build a business that could contribute back especially in the areas that I had grown to see that were important. For me, the opportunity to continue to offer support in the area of educational research and in helping to guide entrepreneurs are two areas including,
– To build support through the act of knowledge sharing,
-Connecting to services, or support, or resources especially in areas of Land Based Learning/Connection, Specialized programs, or accessing support.
-Provide entreprenural support so that future dreams can become a reality, with a focus on helping one to achieve from the start up, developing plans, conducting research, and business launch.
-To build digial uploads of content, and experierment in this new area
The Lake, and being home is much about recognizing one’s strengths, sense of place, and connection, and contribution.
